    Mobile site 'El Chan' links broken

    On the mobile site (m..theregister.co.uk) all the links to El Chan articles are broken, they point to the full fat site instead, which is annoying. The links look like e.g. this one:

    href="http://www.channelregister.co.uk/2014/08/08/surface_three_arrives/"

    ... when it should obviously be m.channelregister.co.uk

    I'm really starting to get tired of having to edit this on my phone each time I click on an El Chan link.

    Obviously it's much easier (for your website designer) with non El Chan links which look like :

    href=/2014/08/08/quotw_ending_august_8/

    which work on both mobile and full fat sites, however it shouldn't be too tricky; if you could fix this it would be great.

      We are aware of this and it is easy to fix - but some other things have taken precedence. Sorry for inconvenience. We'll try to bump it up the list.

        Mobile site 'El Chan' links "work" now

        Thanks for this ... however the 'El Chan' branding is now gone from the links, i.e. instead of linking to http://m.channelregister.co.uk/2014/08/19/exablox_raid_is_dead/ you now link to http://m.theregister.co.uk/2014/08/19/exablox_raid_is_dead/

        The same also applies to the main site (i.e. links to http://www.theregister.co.uk/2014/08/19/exablox_raid_is_dead/). This works for me, but whoever is in charge of the 'El Chan' brand may be bothered.

          Re: Mobile site 'El Chan' links "work" now

          Evidently someone does care - the mobile site is broken back to the original state, El Chan links now look like this again:

          href="http://www.channelregister.co.uk/2014/11/03/oracle_licensing_hostile_mistrust"

          It is once again a pain on my mobile.
