    One other company, Party F, said it was potentially interested in buying Fusion-io but “given internal corporate changes, the company is not in position to continue discussions regarding a potential transaction but would be in position to begin so in early March 2014, at the earliest.”

    Agreed. Besides it couldn't have been HP. (as it's storage), you can solve the problem with Autonomy!!

    Oracle

    I'd be surprised if Oracle wasn't approached. They currently OEM the LSI Nytro Warpdrive cards into their Exadata database appliance thing, which tells you a lot about the state of flash storage within the Oracle/Sun hardware division.
