So *that's* why they ramped up their space program - they're looking for planet Druidia to steal their air!

    Year 2084, China

    Air Wars

The race is on to fill your lungs with pure air.

Like Chinese food, one lungful of air isn't enough, you need to breathe again almost immediately.

Who knew the poor Disney take on "The Lorax" would become true . . .

It was a weak attempt at capturing the Dr Seuss book, but the premise of the movie nails what is happening here exactly. Pollution gets so bad the citizens resort to buying air. Free to the citizens in this case, but still incredibly sad.

    I'm curious

How does pollution become epidemic? How does it pass from one person to the other? What's an epidemic portion?

Interesting that the article mentions Paris but not the UK which has problems today and is being prosecuted for doing nothing about pollution despite 15 years of warnings.

    Making matters worse?

How much extra pollution was caused by trucking bags of air from the mountains into the city?
