    Apples vs Oranges

    How does this compare to XtremeIO or Pure? These are AFAs, this thing is a Hybrid. Furthermore, neither Xtreme nor Pure target the SME space. The better comparison would be someone like Nimble

      You didn't pay attention - read the article again.

      The author very clearly states that Fusion-io's ION Accelerator appliance is an all-flash unit, that's why he compares to other competing AFA offerings, very correctly.

      The second product called ioControl, is indeed a hybrid array - and he didn't compare them to those AFAs, and even its product manager only mentioned XtremeSF and XtremeSW, EMC's server-side flash and its software.
