We will wait for the inevitable

slashing of the former Nokia workforce. They will be using HP as a role model. The feeling (according to a friend of mine in Finland) is one of impending doom. He says that moral is even lower than when Elop was performing his Raging Bull act.

They would be utterly stupid if they did slash the workforce.

Indeed. The Nokia workers are what made Lumia not a total failure.

Also it may well be in the agreement that they must retain Finnish workers in the first place, if the Finnish government has any sense.

...of historically rather optimistic Kantar and IDG market research reports. As for actual sales figures, we'll have to wait and see.

    Congratulations to Mr. Flop

his trojan mission is finally complete. Looks like him and his cronies managed to grease all the right hands in the US/EU commission to see this deal through.

All that was good at Nokia already left a long time ago. All this money they keep throwing around is simply part of the payment to prevent a Nokia Android/Linux phone. Here is hoping they keep throwing away more untill they go bankrupt.

Stephen Elop ruined Nokia and now, after Microsoft buys Nokia, they will make him head of division or even Microsoft CEO, ha ha ha.
