Why code for an OS with limited customer base? 'less your a 'merican where 50% are owned by Apple! Sad!

      To be fair...

It's the easiest test platform - if an fanboi won't pay for an app then fandroids certainly won't...

I just fail to see the point entirely...

Putting completely aside the fact that it is free...

I've always been intrigued, given the 'freetard' tag given to Linux users, and by association to Android users - the platform is free so it's expected that everything else should be too - that whenever I've looked at the Humble Bundle pay-what-you-want stats, the average price paid by Linux users is always highest, Mac second and Windows users lowest. Which might suggest that Linux users are in fact willing to pay (more) for software.

(It may also of course be that far fewer Linux users do actually buy it, so the figures are more distorted by one or two high payers - that said, on the current bundle, the number of Linux purchasers is not much less than Mac purchasers)

It's not just that, although Android has a bigger marketshare iPhone has a bigger usage share - iPhone users are more likely to use their phone as a smartphone.

Big companies know this, that's why they launch iOS apps first.

There are lots of websites reports of mobile usage being split 70-80% to iPhone over Android.

This makes sense when you think about it, most iPhone users have an iPhone because they wanted an iPhone, there are lots of Android users who got an Android by default from their carrier.

    Wow-

O dear how sad, never mind.

It's always a pleasure reading Apple users comments when something is no longer an exclusive. The Instagram Twatter feed was particularly brilliant, with comments such as "Now we get to see photos of what poor people eat" and such like.

      Re: Hipsters and baristas

To be fair, I'm sure the average Vine user is more of the 13 year-old Justin Bieber fan type.

But they'll have to go find a new haunt with their iPhones

    Meh

    Doesn't work on my phone.

When I try to capture video it just hangs then goes back to the menu scren. It isn't working at all for others, if Play store comments are anything to go by.

I had no idea she'd been back in for more 'enhancement'. Or is that the correct phrase for ordering Bulgarian airbags?

Yeah, I know, nick off Grandma ...

... but when I think of the years of my youth spent trimming data structures to minimise the number of bytes stored on expensive spinning rust or squirted down ruinously expensive C03 lines, then I look at the wobbly video of my friend's pint sent from the pub, well, sometimes I do feel a tinge of despair.
