The weakest link

The project is going great!

It seems that the weakest link now is the balloon itself: will it be able to make it to the desired altitude? Or will it suffer premature deflation?

Should we start a collection to help make the balloon much more reliable?

HAAL

High Altitude Automated Launcher - HAAL which is one letter away from HAL that is in turn one letter away from IBM. You only have to add a voice chip.

This could of course be recycled into an low orbital ham sandwich dropping system designed to test if the said sandwich would be satisfactorily toasted on reentry. In this case HAAL = High Altitude Automated Lunch.
