    where their hybrid stuff?

    I find the title to be a little misleading.

    The enhancements are clear -- high end gets faster performance and easy tiering, new VTL and yet another marketecture announcement on big data, VSC with SVC 6.4 support (IBM ... you can do a better job with names), XIV Gen 3 supports openstack (are there other vendors that do this?), v7000 gets FCoE (finally?), upgrade options, openstack support and an authentication server (?).

    Not sure where the tie in with hybrid startups are coming up. Nothing here is positioned in the same space.

    Does anyone other than IBM customers care? Only IBM customers buy IBM storage, which is probably why their market share is declining in comparison to the others.

    Nothing new to see, move along...

    P.S. No I don't work for EMC or NetApp.
