Quantum suffered really badly, from the writers strike what was happening around that time, which is why it felt like a really dis jointed and half assed story.
I could see what they were "aiming" for, but yeah the execution was kind of screwed up.
Olga Kurylenko makes anything bearable though
It's not often that someone does a Bond theme and then sees their career improve. In fact, it's been a very long time since someone did a Bond theme whose best years weren't behind them.
I hope this doesn't mean Adele's bubble is about to burst.
Anyway. Isn't it time that Shirley Bassey had another go, since she's had a bit of a revival in recent years and is still sounding fantastic? She would have been the perfect choice for a 50th anniversary film.

Bond (yes, the fictional character) is a bit of a British institution. It'll be full of product placement (Heineken instead of Vodka Martini) but some times you have to just accept the world has changed a bit - come on who didn't think the Queen + Bond was one of the best surprises of the opening ceremony ?
