I too remember the good old days where you could carry around a stack of CD's or DVD's. Now I'm "restricted" to a phone with 32GB of storage, the ability to browse the Internet and make phones calls, play games and run applications while being oppressed....
Who can rescue us from this nightmare and deliver a world where CD's and DVD's are useful once more?

Anytime I hear some description of a perfect technology, I can't help but think the words related to a certain animal and its waste product that is used as fertilizer.
Let's not forget that Murphy's Law has been proven right more times than anyone can count.
Of course if the cloud provider has architected smartly it will already have a solution that copes with low bandwidths and the many that do not have high high speed internet yet!
We for example have coded to assume a low throughput and to maximise the use of the browser side processing client to handle as much as we can of the user interface to ensure usability and performance speed.
