    Persian strings in the code

Oh come on, that's just a little bit too convenient, isn't it?

A whole rug would be too obvious.

"Interestingly, our joint analysis uncovered a lot of Persian strings littered throughout the malware and the C&C tools, which is unusual to see in malicious code. The attackers were no doubt fluent in this language."

So they ran "strings" on it, and then ran it though google translate to find out what language? ;)

    "Iran's controversial nuclear program"

I hate this low-key crap and lying.

    Controversial how?

It's not "controversial". It doesn't exist. But it fills Israel's politicians' need to have a constant paranoid wank because - how else can you have hardcore apartheid while keeping the civvies in line? And it fills Israel's "partner's" politicians' need to cowtow to AIPAC for money and favors - as well their childish need to show "thoughness" on tri-colored stages for clowns and old, sick men.

      Re: "Iran's controversial nuclear program"

You're seriously saying that Iran isn't developing nukes? I'm not sure that even Iran is trying to sell that line anymore.

"Yeah, we tried to make some nukes, but it's been halted for a couple years, really. No, we're enriching to well beyond fuel grade for fun, that's all, those centrifuges were totally just a big joke. Yeah." is about the official line iirc.

    "Mahdi", not "Madi"

Look at the code - the file is mahdi.c, directory is /Mahdi/. It's approximately the Muslim equivalent of "Messiah", depending on which branch of Islam you're talking to, so it's kind of an arrogant thing to name your program.

      Re: "Mahdi", not "Madi"

It's not the Messiah, it's a very naughty program.
