Oh dear...
if Azure is on OCZ SSDs I think it would be best to keep my data well away from it. But looking on the bright side, it's Microsoft that will have all the fun with the OCZ RMA department.
Microsoft is taking the fight to Amazon, cutting Azure cloud storage transaction prices by 90 per cent. A statement on Microsoft's Windows Azure team blog says: "We heard you loud and clear that you want cheaper transaction costs for Windows Azure Blobs, Tables, Queues, and Drives. We are therefore very pleased today to slash …
Try it out on Azure. Run a UnixBench and you'll see it's running SSDs equivalent block storage. And OCZ might've had issues with Sandforce controllers in the past, but they've always backed it up with a good warranty (at least where I'm at, never had a problem with same-day RMA and I've had 4 drives over the years).
The Vertex 4 is also backed by a 5 year warranty and unlike the Intel 520 which are starting to have problems due to the Sandforce controllers, it uses their own tech.
Their enterprise drives offer much more value-performance than Fusion IO.
Looking good overall.
