What's Intel asking for their chips?

"But do those machines ship? Most do not."

I do not claim to know, I am just wondering. Are they maybe being greedy over what they expect the OEMs to pony up for that Intel kit?

I don't think price is the problem

I think Intel's problem is that ARM chips are just more power efficient.

As I understand it ARM Linux is still quite limited as to what you can run on it, and obviously there's no ARM version of Windows. So that left the netbook to Intel. But if we're running mobile OSes on tablets, then they're going to have a huge battery advantage on ARM - and raw processor power is less important. Therefore low power chips are going to win.
