nVidia
Is there any news on the investigation into the Intel nVidia chipset spat or was this a separate anti-trust?
Intel and the Federal Trade Commission look likely to reach an out-of-court settlement of competition charges brought against the chip giant. In late 2009 the FTC filed charges against Intel. It accused the company of illegally using its dominant market position to crush rivals like AMD and strengthen its monopoly. But …
Just a wee bit worrying that an anticompetitive case raised to protect other businesses and consumers will result in a settlement that will be deliberately obscured from public review.
Of course I'm sure Intel prefers keep;ing everything quiet - no settlement details means less press coverage and less ridicule for Intel since no-one gets to see them bend over.
