back to article UKIP suspends Scouse candidate over sado smut movies

While the Lib Dems may have no qualms about running Anna Arrowsmith, a maker of serious female-oriented porn as a candidate in Gravesham, Kent, UKIP are having some difficulty swallowing the notion that one of their candidates may have been involved at the sharp end of smut-making. They have therefore suspended the membership …

    Surely some mistake

'being whipped and abused by a "dominatrix"'

I thought this was an essential part of parliamentary life.

    Paris Hilton

The Lib Dems seemed to have weathered the storm (such as it was) of Anna Span being a parliamentary candidate, so UKIP lacking the courage to back an 'alternative sexuality' candidate is a disappointment.

Can't say that putting a party political message in the end credits is a bright idea, but then who watches the end credits of 'films like that' anyway?

    1. scottboy

      @Ally J

End credits? You mean the bit after the screen goes white?

      1. Anonymous Coward

Now I need that coat AND a shower.

    2. Anonymous Coward

      You mean...

      ... they have credits?

    Jacqui Smith

She wasn't embarrassed by her husband watching porn. She was embarrassed by him then claiming it on expenses. Like the vast majority, I don't care if an MP's partner gets off by watching porn but but I'm blooming well not going to pay for it.

    1. Clarissa

      You are almost there...

Like all them, the only bit she was embarrassed about was being caught.

"party officials are now taking a close look at Ager’s films"

I bet they will, I bet they will.

    1. Alfred 2

      So when they ...

should be out canvassing for votes ...

the UKIP bunch will be watching pr0n movies!

Well they've got my vote then.

  5. TeeCee Gold badge

    What the......?

"....I put a lot of intelligent material into the scripts."

In a pr0n movie? Presumably they deselected him because he's an utter pillock who's completely out of touch with public expectations then.

Were probably worried that the movie showed the benefits European integration when a Dutch plumber came to service a British washing machine.

    The government needs to understand?

Why do people keep talking as if the government can be persuaded to act according to the will of the people? It clearly only represents the wishes of the ruling elite.

  10. Michael 28

Did I mishear or did someone say "Election"?

.......or am i mixing up BBC parliament 3 line whip coverage with babestation? They are a bit close on my remote ... maybe I nodded off....

say that looks a lot like my jacket .

  11. John A Blackley

A little S&M never hurt anyone

    Oh. Wait.

Is the problem here that UKIP understands that having real people as candidates will never get them seats in the House of Commons?

After all, isn't that reserved for ex public schoolboys who grew up being flogged, tied up and forced to perform unnatural acts.

I seem to be back to where I came in.

"silent sexual revolution" what where we no longer give a crap what people get off to as long as it doesn't involve a real crime?

Personally, I don't care. He could be a star in those films and I'd only shrug. Are they any good at the job they're going for? Oh, he's a member of UKIP. No threat to the oligarchy then :P

    Sex & Politics

Why is there always this huge furore over MPs (and celebrities) private sex lives ? Surely if it's legal, and between consenting adults, let 'em get on with it.

The only time I can see this being newsworthy, is if the person in question was trying to promote some moral values or what they were doing was illegal in the UK. (Catholic Church, I'm thinking of you...)

    1. Anonymous Coward
      Anonymous Coward

      surely if it's legal?

      could that be the problem?

That the current extreme porn laws are so vague and ill thought out that even the people who wrote them have no idea what they cover?

They are probably just distancing themselves in case he ends up being labelled a producer of extreme porn and slapped in jail for life as a sex offender.

  14. Graham Bartlett

    Value for money, surely?

After all, we all want to see our Honourable Members hard at work. This party political broadcast was brought to you by Gordon Brown-Wings and Hand-Shandy Mandy. And Ed Balls, whose name doesn't need any further embellishment.

    The cane-wielding schoolmaster, naturally...

  15. Graham Marsden

So what, exactly, is their problem?

UKIP claim to be "Libertarian", yet when it comes to a little bit of what turns out to be consensual sex games, they suddenly throw their hands up in the air and reveal themselves to be just another bunch of control-freak hypocrites...

Where is a moderatrix when you need her

to supply some discipline to this discussion.

  17. Alexander Vollmer

    No change

"politicians need to take note that attitudes of the vast majority of British people towards sex have changed"

Didnt her granda and grannie like it? Or her parents? Then I remember how I was made ... real much fun on a beach in Spain ... didnt think the attitudes changed, only the knowledge about the real behavior of people.

    Politics as Pornography

After this and the Libertine Democrats what's next?

"We've been naughty with the economy, so now we're going to have to punish you and make you suffer for it".

    a little bold perhaps

    The Law

Wouldnt this footage be close to crossing the line now? Isnt it extreme porn if they are roleplaying a bit of death and torture for sexual gratification?

Wouldnt that put everyone involved, including UKIP officials "Paying close attention" to it, in clink for many a year?

  21. Alfred 2

    I was thinking of ...

... voting for UKIP, but I'll have to reconsider that now. If they are ging to take the same line as Ms Harman they won't get my vote. I don't want a joyless sexless society thank you.

    Allegations or smear attack?
