I'm sure its very Laudable that Apple wants to protect the moral fibre of its users, but they are going further and further up silly street with stuff. I'm an iPhone user, and I'm embarrassed that Apple now appears to be treating me like a child; enforcing its own mores on my telephone usage.
Not that I'd buy this app. It seems a bit puerile. But that's for ME to decide. Are you listening Apple?

Hm, If I where Jon Atherton, I would be asking to see the complaints - ANYONE who buys something called "Wobble iBoobs (Premium Uncensored)" then makes a complaint is simply a pathetic complainist. Or much more likely it is simply Apple making up a poor excuse to remove perceived smut.

Notch up another point for Windows Mobile then. I've got HD2Wobble, a very nice tit-wobbling app on my HTC HD2 running WM6.5. Very amusing it is too, especially down the pub.
I downloaded it, for free, from the Internet. Yes, the Internet. You know, that place where you can download stuff without interference from your handset's OS vendor? Oh, except you can't 'cos you've got an iPhone. *slaps forehead*
What I find sad about this is that Apple is actually using the App store to push American / Christian values to the detriment of its international customers. Usually Americans are easily shocked by sexual content, but tolerate large amounts of violence. Europeans usually have a much higher tolerance for sexual content but are less tolerant of excessive violence. What is happening here is Apple going the "American way": removing content that shocks in the US but that people outside of the US would not only find acceptable but probably desirable.
Why stop there: let's remove violent games that could shock Europeans, let's remove all the software that may shock various culture and religions. Restaurant games that feature cow made hamburgers: how shocking this must be to Hindu people? They make ham sandwiches too? well, that is going to shock the Muslims! Lets remove content that make reference to God so that we don't anger the atheist! And lets not speak of the effect the games where the objective is to earn huge amounts of money will have when the iPhone reach the few remaining communist countries... This can very quickly become ridiculous :-)
My opinion is that Apple should NOT ban content from the app store (except for content that is clearly illegal) because the standards of what is deemed acceptable content vary so much from one country to the other and from one person to the other that the censorship or the content will almost always be considered inappropriate somewhere by someone. It is impossible for Apple to actually make a good decision, so it is better if they make no decision.
We live in a big, multicultural world. The only way to make it work is for everyone to accept that some content that they find shocking will exist and be available because to someone else, somewhere else, that content is acceptable and desirable. From the moment one culture / country start to impose its views on the others it will stop working. I am an Atheist, but I don't care if there are Bible readers in the app store, I just don't download them. I don't like excessive violence, but I don't care if there are violent shooters in the app store, I just don't download them. What I DO care about is if someone tells me that I can't download the content I like.
You shake the phone? Then hold it still and keep watching?
How about software that just takes any image and makes it wobble when the phone is shaken? Perhaps with guides drawn on separately to show which parts of the picture should wobble more or less.
And then what you use it for is up to you. There's the Tacoma Narrows bridge for instance. Or skyscrapers in the neighbourhood of the San Andreas Fault. Or Harry Hill does an act on TV with a plate of jelly. Not weird I mean, the jelly stays on the plate.
This is a pathetic example of censorship by Apple.
I have noticed over the last six months or so that pretty much everyone I work with including our CEO has gone out and purchased one of these iphones. I can't understand why they all buy them - especially when you consider that I work for a large pornography producer / publisher.
I will never buy anything from Apple due to their censorship.
People should be able to decide for themselves. So long as it is legal in the country you are in, I don't see why Apple should have a say. It's too much regulation. All it does is restrict people.
Historically the big successes have been open technology. Primary example: the Internet. Imagine if it had been fully regulated by a single governing body that reviewed all content, and no porn or questionable content was allowed through.
Would Windows have ever got far if every piece of software had to be vetted by Microsoft? No, you want to install whatever you want. You want the ability to use a competing company's software if you don't like the one that came pre-installed.
People don't like being controlled. People like freedom. Progress likes freedom.
Odd then that the first thing any large group of people seem to do is decide on a social norm and start shunning those who deviate. Most people like to follow each other round like geese - the only problem here is that Apple is trying to herd the yellow-billed geese together with the red-billed geese, and that just won't do. We're Europeans, give us our jubs, dammit!

People will be offended by anything if there is a large enough sample. In the recent past they were told to deal with it but now corporations will bow to any type of pressure. The US is headed back to the days when TV sponsors stopped actors using words like Hell or pregnant in their shows because some loon was bound to be offended.
Hopefully this will backfire on said Hypocrites.
Actually, we can thank them for California having the biggest porn industry due to them trying to clean up the smut in LA years ago ;)
