Telephony runs to tri-band GSM with GPRS, but not to 3G. But …

    Just wondering...

    start with the basics

I dont understand why they try and pack so many features into this kind of form factor. It makes it too big and ugly to wear.

Why not start off with a basic UI, and basic functionality - voice calls and text messaging... this way you can do away with the un-necessary video playback and might even be able to reduce the bulk of it. Who's going to watch videos or look at pics on a 1inch screen?

I would never buy one of these watch phones in their current incarnation. May be tempted if they get smaller and simpler though.

    Suspicious photo

Looking at that photo, I wonder if the focus was wrong. The knob the lens is contained within is knurled --- might it need to be krotated?

Also, there might have been a tiny circle of antiscratch film on the lens --- they're not always very obvious, and need to be removed before it'll work properly.

    too big

Give me a small watch which can make and receive calls and I'll be interested. The rest of the sutff I can do on my n97, pda or laptop - I don't need to be able to view photo's/videos or listen to music on a watch.

    I agree with David Given

Can the REG please investigate? I know it is expensive and all but it looks so so cool...

    Title goes here.

I can only third the camera comment, as according to that photo, not only is there no use in having the camera, but it actually drags the device down.

The whole device just sort of says to me "Just because we 'can' make something, doesn't always mean we 'should'".

    make it a nice watch

I'd like to see a phone watch that's mainly a nice looking (and waterproof) watch, with a bluetooth unit for both dialling and sound. What's the point of that? Match it to a car unit with rSAP and you can forget you're carrying a phone until it rings.

    Tag Heuer rip-off

And here's why it looks so good - it is a blatant rip off of the (admittedly beautiful) Tag Heuer Monaco. The only reason that I read the article is because the face is almost identical.

It is the same as the chinavasion one.

The menus are identical, it's just a different shell and strap.

    Large but good phone too
