Let's hear it for EDS
With the amount of bad publicity that EDS has had it makes you wonder why people still go anywhere near them.
The High Court has ordered Hewlett-Packard to pay BSkyB £200 million in interim damages, according to press reports. The interim award follows a ruling last week over a contract tendering process. Let's face it: EDS have had this coming for years - if the government here had more balls, it would be the taxpayer getting money back from them.
A shame that one guy has been scapegoated, though, rather than saying their whole sales process was fraudulent. And even more of a shame that it's BSkyB that's getting the cash.
Seriously, have EDS received anything other than bad publicity?
Maybe Sky, like the rest of us, already knew that EDS are a bunch of incompetent charlatans and suing was the intention all along. A cleverly constructed revenue stream!
