    Oh no!

    Really starting to get scared of Google now. They will soon be everywhere from your phone to your PC to your TV.

    I know they don't reckon to Do Evil - but what is it they say about Absolute Power?

    Seriously though looks to me like in IT/Comms Google with be THE story of the the 20teens....

      Seems that the big story of 2010 will be <insert failing company name> ports Android to <insert archaic hardware platform>. Not that it's a big story - only the Googlanoia around here makes it so.

        I wouldn't be so sure that MIPS is failing

        They're in plenty of routers and the Sony PSP. They don't have the media presence (or probably performance) of ARM though.

    As DH said, MIPS is in lots of things around you.

    More importantly, the MIPS architecture is the foundation of

    the indigenous microprocessor industry in the People's Republic of China.

    That's a huge available market.

    based netbook. The PRC wants a degree of independence from

    the major x86 producers. MIPS is a rational choice for an ISA

    given the comparatively simpler design challenges. >
