How come
Where is all their money going? Every time you ring up with a problem they say they will charge £120 for an 'engineer' to come out. This is a lot of £120s for not a lot of work so where's it all gone?

Only £120? Sounds like you got a bargain.
When we had a problem, we were told there would be no charge. It was fixed, and then 3 months later we were billed for £220.
3 separate complaint letters and 3 separate responses all ignored the 1 question I asked "Why was I told there would be no charge" and proceeded to tell my why I was charged.
I checked at BT Centre and they told me that your £120 goes into a small box labelled "Dave's Pitiful Little Drop In The Ocean".
Then, every Friday lunchtime, there is a ritual unveiling of the box in the middle of the largest table in the largest boardroom after which BT senior managers are invited in to point and snigger before a specially hired contractor, dressed in a Busby costume, wipes his arse on the notes.
