Toymaker Hasbro is preparing to launch a world-encompassing live version of Monopoly using Google Maps as its game board. Having clearly missed the memo that both Apple and The Beatles are making a ruckus in the news Wednesday, Hasbro's Monopoly City Streets plans to dust off the dice tomorrow and will run until the end of …

Can anyone launch a website nowadays without it going belly up on the first second?
...of loads of PR coverage and spin and a site that fails as soon as three people and a hamster (technologically literate, these small furry rodents, don't you know) log onto it. And yet....in London, Baker Street, Regent St, Oxford St, Marylebone Rd, Etc (you get the picture) have all already been sold. Without the site working. WTF?
Meh. Doesn't work = can't be bothered.

Erm, I live in Australia. You know, the former British colony that is part of the Commonwealth and allied to the UK and US? The one that was the third nation to launch a rocket into space after the USSR and US? Yes, that Australia.
But we're not allowed to play monopoly, though I bet our streets are available for US and UK residents to buy.
Epic fucking fail.
