    Friends reunited ?

£210m for that website, they must have been bonkers and only now are they smelling the coffee; it will go the way of Friends reunited.

It's worth checking comparethemarket.com to see if you can get it at a better price.

    I didn't know that!

So the same company owns upmystreet.com?

That explains all the spam from uSwitch.

    Independence

The problem with uSwitch is that a lot of people believe their truly independent or even government run. They really should be forced to declare their interests more obviously to the users, not hidden away on an 'about us' page that nobody will ever see.

    Ofcom approved

    They're paid on commission

... so what that results in is users having to find the really small optin button to show ALL suppliers - incluing the ones you cant switch via uswitch with because they arent offering commission.

I'd wager the vast majority of users get better deals from comparethemarket and moneysuppermarket for this fact alone, and contribute to uswitch being quite crap.
