    This is "business as usual" everywhere in the world. The Lebanon, TN politicians must have been born yesterday if they think that Dell owes them anything. Good luck to them.

    This plant in Tennessee is just a few minutes from me....

    In short, just to clear it up a bit, the deal with local and state officials was for BIG tax breaks for 40 YEARS in return for employing 1000+ people. Since Dell is now only employing about 500, the idea is starting to rub the locals. Though the language of the paperwork doesn't necessarily say that 1000 people should be employed for that 40 years, locals are considering it good faith. They're suing for the back taxes since these last layoffs.
