
The only slight issue being...
...that historically it has never been any problem to hack a computer network. It just keeps on happening again and again. The point is, hackers know what they're doing. It will simply take them a little bit longer if they have to work out the new route into these now kinds of networks.
Unless you are a bank or one of the more security-conscious branches of the government there is probably very little point in really going to town on security. It would be really annoying if the EU were to poke their noses in and try and introduce yet more pointless regulations that would force us all to upgrade our systems when they work just fine as they are without spending the extra dough.
