    Not a reality-based world-view from what I've seen. Hope he doesn't try to put Social Security on Sparc servers...

    WTF have sparc servers to do with this article?

    To your statement, Putting your social security on x86 would probably make more sense, this will make hackers life easier, x86's are quite famous for not being able to handle mathematics correctly(remember the pentium bug?) ... But then again who cares ... They could put it on power or itanium architectures and then we would not need to worry about having a social security in 30 years...

    We'll see how this "CIO" works out. The restrictions and requirements that federal systems operate under is very different from state and local gov't.

    BTW --- There is nothing stateless about cloud computing.
