    Sony and their executives can shuffle chairs around for as long as they like, I'll still never buy another Sony product.

    Actually, in business, April 1...

    ...can have the same connotation in the US as in Japan. It's clearly timed to coincide with the beginning of a fiscal quarter if not a fiscal year.
