speechless
i really don't have anything to say after watching that. indeed pass the brandy.
oh.. except.. what the hell were you thinking RICHARD KEYS?
The world is awaiting with tremulous expectation the forthcoming Professional Developers [sic] Conference, aka PDC2008, which Microsoft has dubbed an event "so hot, the t-shirts caught on fire!" Crikey. PDC2008 attendees will apparently walk away with a 160-gig hard drive loaded with Windows 7, and what better way to celebrate …

It's white guys pretending to be black rappers.
You know it can't be good just by saying that.
That said, the level of credit I currently give to Windows 7 is hardly tarnished by this piece of embarrassing spew. I'm already not going to buy it nor use it, so this rather comforts me in my decision.
it's such a good thing to have the Flashblock plugin for FireFox installed.
A giant-sized "Thank You" for the warnings from previous posters. Thanks to you, I don't have to spend the rest of the day looking for the most effective method for a cranial enema to get that video out of my head, since I didn't actually watch it.
Look...The video is a parody...
It's so blatently obviously a parody (the same actors playing boyband membersand ad agency members, the really bad lighting, acting and production etc.) that anyone who is taken in by it really should get themselves checked over by a medical professional before they do themselves harm.
I went off to the site www.microsoftpdc.com for a good laugh and read this piece of crap:
PDC Buzz is amping up on the Blogosphere
I immediately saw that the proof reader must have seen that video, taken prozac with Cognac before going on with his work:
[...]
Amazon announced that their could platform will soon support Windows Server and other MS technologies.
[...]
So, apparently, the word "could" (most likely the truth) was supposed to be replaced with "will soon", their wet dream!, and they forgot to remove it ... hahahaha ... of course they rephrased a bit and that's why it ended up before the word "platform" ... damn idiots!
Microsoft, where are you heading???
@ AC: "Good to know that you have such smart, intelligent readers who really understand the whole concept of parody........"
Parody != a free pass on any lame content, especially lame content that MAY have worked 15 years ago. You know, back when dinosaurs roamed and fagboy bands were "popular".
Missed it by ...that much.
"The PDC is happy to provide you with a letter that will get you fired so fast your shirt will come off!

Microsoft really seems to like composing letters for its partners to pass on...

Didn't seem to work in India. I tend to agree with Xander.
. . . because it's of the best attempts ever at encouraging people to get absolutely blotto on vallium and stiff brandies. Thanks for the tip Lester (you must have been in a bad way to have watched it twice).
It should contain a health warning –
‘Danger, watching this may seriously affect your sanity’
It's supposed to be an ironic post modern nudge and wink type video.
The trouble is, that only works for really obscure things like PCR amplification machines:

It doesn't work for already nerdy crap that everybody uses (has to use), from a company that everybody loathes for "borrowing" ideas from others and making expensive pathetic commercials.
