Whilst this is an interesting story...
I can't quite understand what the buzz is all about.
A total of six people have been killed in northeast China after a truck carrying dozens of beehives overturned, releasing a swarm of bees which stung three to death and later provoked three further fatalities as two lorries collided while attempting to avoid the massed insects. The truck bearing the beehives crashed into a …
Driving on Chinese highways is very dangerous. European people who are new in China who come to work in my office are often a bit terrified at the start due to the risky way cars and lorries overtake each other. High speeds + risky driving behaviour + many overloaded lorries + no-one wearking their seatbelt = lots of deaths.
In the cities themselves, the speeds are pretty slow. Car drivers need to keep a constant eye for people and bikes suddenly cutting across them - and because a car hitting someone often means the car driver having to negotiate a payment to the person they just knocked, the car drivers do act carefully (they still drive in a way that would make Westerners very worried, but they can brake in time each time some emergency comes up which is quite often).
Am I the only person who can't see anyone wearing any protective clothing??
I see one guy with a jacket over his head alright but I can't say I would class that as protective hahahaha.
