What exactly is the plural of MILF? If we assume it exists merely as an acronym, I imagine it would be MILFs. Or possibly MsILF. However, I have always preferred the syrupy smooth expression 'Milves'. Where does the Register stand on this critical issue?

Go into the accounts or HR dept. and ask what a MILF is and you'll get a blank stare so IT people must be sad, lonely perverts with nothing else better to do but occasionally peek at the odd ' peculiar website in between command line stunts and Vista slagging off sessions.

As a long term reader of your formerly esteemed publication, since 1899, I am appalled and dismayed by your use of the term "MILF" as an acronym to describe Philipino armed gangs. As many on the titternet will know, some raging sex addicts like to describe some women as "Mothers I'd like to Fuck", an appaling and deeply offensive slur against all non-mothers.

Just because there are (MILF)s, it does not preclude the fact that there are other (WILF)s !! On the other hand, there are some that one wouldn't approach even with a 50-meter barge pole. One has to keep one's standards up, you know !!
One is also presuming that you are heterosexual and, therefore, have unintentionally omitted any mention of the male persuasion when defining "non-mothers" !!
Otherwise, one's mind truly boggles and one's gob is truly smacked !!

As any fule kno, the term 'MILF' was popularised by the film 'American Pie' - I suspect most people under the age of 30 will have heard of it, IT geek or not.
Also, "command line stunts"?! Are these cunning stunts by any chance?

Whilst you may have a chuckle over the abbreviation "MILF" from the safety of your desks in London, Birmingham and Manchester, for those of us expats living and working here in the Philippines, it's no laughing matter. In fact, as the Philippines Government has stated that it will no longer be signing the agreement which gives the Muslims an enhanced autonomous region and instead wishes to renegotiate, the current unrest could likely be escalated into all-out war.
A day or two ago, a bus travelling from Zamboanga to Cagayan De Oro on Mindanao was ambushed by a MILF patrol and almost all its passengers - all civilians - were executed; only four, including the driver, managed to escape.
So please, a little sensitivity!
