back to article Brown brown-noses Google, Brin demands privacy

Gordon Brown might be short of friends within the Labour Party, but they must love him down at Google. He gave a speech yesterday at Google's annual Zeitgeist conference which had the smack of George Galloway's ringing endorsements of Saddam Hussein. Brown told Google's love-in: "I begin by congratulating Google, ten years ago …

An analogue politician in a digital age

    This is embarrassing.

Now that they've exhausted their life lines trolling Cannabis and Abortion there really isn't much left to distract the media from this idiocy.

Given all the other things going on at this moment

Shouldn't this man have been back home and sorting the country out? I don't think I would get away with saying to my boss "I know the servers in trouble and clients can't get on with their work, but i have this exhibition I want to go to....won't be more than few hours"

Two fingered salute to Brown's indefatigibility!

    The sweet smell of hypocrisy...

"even with a repressive regime like Burma, information cannot be repressed forever, information cannot be suppressed and it comes out of a country.""

But it's still an offence to *possess* such information in that Repressive Regime, isn't it Gordon? And "illegal" information is defined as anything the Government doesn't like.

Still, it's not as if our great and freedom loving country would pass a similar such law making it a criminal offence to possess anything the Government doesn't like, such as so-called "extreme pornography"...??

PS: Paris because even she could understand how hypocritical Brownshirt is being.

"your ability to provide that in all the different continents of the world"

Google's "ability" to provide anything depends solely on the people who lay down the pipes that allow Internet access.

Unless Google became an ISP while I wasn't paying attention, I fail to see why Google should be singularly congratulated for hosting a web service. Of course, Google can and should be congratulated for being successful, but not for being present on the Internet.

Brown toadies Brin. Brin toadies Israel.

There are fewer party poopers to be found on Google searches spoiling Israel's birthday celebrations, and Brin gets honoured guest invitation. Brown hasn't done enough.

    perhaps they need google...

to index and help them search a certain collection of emails and phone calls. you know, all the phone calls and emails ever: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1990999/Home-Office-plans-to-create-'Big-brother'-database-for-phones-calls%2C-emails-and-web-use.html

J'accuse ....and any Denial is welcome for there is a Trail Back to Disprove .

Ask Mr Brown what he and his mates have done with the Quantum Communications Lead which has been passed to MI5, to see a Chastened Lost Soul Floundering at the Question and then turn your Attention to Douglas Alexander ...a Co Conspirator. Or are they to say that the excellent e-mail facilities available to one and all, and which leave a magnificent trail of evidence, are not available to them. Now that wouid be too unbelievable for words.

And the cuckoo Blair is obviously covered from head to toe in all that s**** too.

Not Fit for Leadership Purpose doesn't even come close to describing their Administrative Incompetence and both Moral and Intellectual Bankruptcy.

Spookily enough that would now put the onus on MI5 to show some Initiative and Intelligence to show that they are not to be classed in a similar vein.

    I suppose...

I suppose that when Brown has his tongue buried up to the hilt in the Google corporate ringpiece that it's difficult to talk anything but complete and utter shit. Bring on the next election - it can't come soon enough.

    Mr B(ean) is a politician

so therefore he knows nothing to little about technology. Sergy and his fellow Googlers are amongst the most (academically) intelligent people on the planet, and they know how to shift data around the world quickly. They've probably got a hard disk the size of the Empire State building in a bunker somewhere that they're just itching to try out. Step forward Mr B(ean) with lots of lovely data. This time maybe it won't go astray.
