back to article Patent holders take 4G pledge of allegiance

The owners of the patents underpinning LTE, the fourth generation mobile technology, have agreed to only charge each other "reasonable" licence fees. The companies involved - Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson, NEC, NextWave Wireless, Nokia, Nokia Siemens Networks, and Sony Ericsson - have all agreed to a framework based around fair, …

    Screw Qualcomm

    All companies should just stick it to Qualcomm when they want to produce their LTE chips. Do the same exact things that Qualcomm does to them for 3G patents. Make the cost of their products so high no one will buy them and let the go out of business.

    @Lance

    Uh, you can't screw Qualcomm here. They hold some of the patents, some of which came with their purhcase of Flarion, and don't build handsets or base stations, just chips & software. So they are in the better position, little to lose (after all, LTE replaces two forms of CDMA, their invention) and something to gain if LTE is delayed.
