These people need to be elected by the PUBLIC

Reason why OfCom is a complete waste of time is that even its HEAD staff aren't elected by the people they should be serving, ie the general public.

Get rid of the lot of them, and replace at least 60% of them with people elected by the general public, instead of pure government and industry PLANTS and then we might actually see some real benefits.

Currently, its not clear whether OfCom primarily bows to the government or to industry, but what it certainly doesn't do is to listen to (or act in the interests of) the public.

"Currently, its not clear whether OfCom primarily bows to the government or to industry,...."

If they can use the Technology available in Communications, they will be leading both of them....... although you would never know it to be so.

Prepare for Boarders.... Permission to come aboard, Cap'n, is the sort of Piratical Hierarchical Structures they'll have to Master Universally to be Ultra Effective.
