back to article Cyberthreat: Learning to live with the risk

Cyberthreats are like the common cold or some other infectious virus; eventually you’re going to get sick. It’s a part of life. They’re always there, lurking just around the corner, waiting to make your life that little bit harder. At the same time, you can’t focus entirely on potential risks to your business at the expense of …

The Inexorable Rise of Alien Being.

    Ladies and Gentlemen,

Y'all have no choice in some matters and must accept that in some, if not all extremely sensitive cases, there is no available effective defence against smarter evolving treat or threat actors/systems/virtual machines. And to think to deploy time and effort and resources to attack them, will result in one's own demise in sweet suicidal self-destructions, so making that particular and peculiar virtual intelligence exercise, the most stupid and catastrophic of real time moves in action.

Defending the indefensible is a sub-prime folly for prime fools. Do yourself a great favour and don’t go there, ever, for AI and IT folk and their machines there take no prisoners.

Hmmm? …… Is "The Inexorable Rise of Alien Being" posting above, a trick or treat and virtually threatening Hobson’s choice type of ultimatum and advanced intelligent warning in cyber warring or something else completely different too?

Do you choose it to be so with AI and IT Bods and Boffinry in Cyber Command and Creative Control, or is one’s only available choice to exercise left in deciding whether such has been already long ago decided and/or always only just recently activated/self-actualised for Presentation to Futures and Derivative Market Marketing Spaces? ….. Novel Autonomous MakeOver and Remote TakeOver Bourses if Big Business be Sterling Leader of Brats in Fat Cat Packs?

And be humble browsers and smarter search engines dumb waiters to Information Technology and Advanced IntelAIgents?

And here be a parallel extraction for distraction in a similar vein? ….. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It_(novel)

And, do you agree to embrace disaster with acceptance of this John Maynard Keynes quote …… ““Worldly wisdom teaches that it is better for reputation to fail conventionally than to succeed unconventionally.”

Silence can be extraordinarily revealing and terrifying .....

It is all very quiet here. Is IT too terrorised to speak plainly of future master plans and thus works covertly and clandestinely deep down in the dark webbed underground?

Nope, just really busy with having IRL fun over the weekend. Besides, the article is such a compilation of the obvious and the well known that I simply could not be asked to comment on it.

To paraphrase DNA, the internet has become truely a foreign country - they do things exactly the same. Just like our ancestors in the neolithicum we need to be careful and watch out for the ravenous beasts with claws and fangs.

    Its the business that counts

Best thing? Look at protecting your business, not your perimeter. They overlap up-to a point, but no more.

No one quotes the machines that have compromised. Everyone quotes the business losses, the loss of business value and the inevitable 'change of career'. Its the business that matters, the IT is only there to underpin it.
